Andrea McNown

The newest member of the Walnut River String Band is Andrea McNown. Besides being a great vocalist, she plays the cabasa, teaches /helps us with rhythms, harmonies, and whatever else is needed. She helps with set-up, teardown, gives advice, and would even drive the bus if we only had one.

She is married to Scott, who is a fireman and a builder/contractor in his spare time. They have two kids, Scotty and Alisha. Alisha sings very well also and appears on stage with us from time to time. One of Scotty's talents includes putting away pizza and breadsticks after a performance.

Andrea started singing at age 7, and is locally recognized for her work in gospel music, as well as playing the keyboard at her church. She has been in contests in Nashville and even done some recording in Branson. She looks and sounds great on stage, and is developing a Walnut River String Band personality. (Oh, well, nobody's perfect)

For her honest job, Andrea owns and operates A Bride to Be, bridal shop in downtown Winfield. So if you want to get married, or rent a tux, come see her ...and see her on stage whenever you can.
